Dr. Rachel Rowitt, Ed.D., LMHC, CAP

Dr. Rachel Rowitt is a doctorate-level Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Addictions Professional, a Certified EMDR therapist and Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor with years of experience in managing mental health and substance abuse programs and 18 years practicing psychology. She has been recognized for team building, mentoring, leadership skills and clinical skills. She is currently an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Rachel practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR Therapy. She believes that therapy should be used as a resource for support through life transitions. Her solution focused approach helps her clients learn how to make changes that are long lasting. She is an expert in addiction recovery studying the effects of alcoholism/addiction and the facets of permanent recovery.
Dr. Rachel specializes in working with families of young adults who suffer from addiction and mental health issues. Her accumulated years of working closely with psychiatrists, in psychiatric and addiction hospital settings and continued growth and education give her an unmerited knowledge, ability and wealth of resources.
